Today, we embark on a special journey—a journey that goes beyond the pages of Once Upon A Claim: Fairy Tales to Protect Your Ass(ets). I am thrilled to offer you a glimpse into the inspiration and creative process that brought this unique book to life.

A Spark of Author's Inspiration: Parables and Insurance

Every great journey begins with a spark of inspiration. For me, that spark ignited during my years in the insurance industry. I witnessed the confusion and frustration that often surrounds insurance concepts and claims processes. It became evident that people needed a fresh, engaging way to grasp these crucial topics.

As I contemplated the art of teaching complex ideas, it dawned on me that parables have been a timeless tool for imparting wisdom. People learn from stories, and what better way to bridge the gap between insurance intricacies and everyday understanding than through storytelling?

The Power of Storytelling

Storytelling has an incredible ability to make complex subjects relatable and memorable. It was this realization that prompted me to revisit the timeless tales we all know and love. I saw the potential to use these stories as a bridge between the intricate world of insurance and the everyday lives of consumers.

Reimagining Fairy Tales: An Insurance Twist

With the vision of demystifying insurance, I embarked on the journey of reimagining fairy tales and fables. These timeless stories, filled with beloved characters and moral lessons, provided the perfect canvas for weaving in essential insurance concepts. From Rapunzel discussing trespassing and the duty of premises owners to Rumpelstiltskin navigating the concept of “reasonableness” in claims, the possibilities were endless.

Peeling Back the Curtain

As I delved deeper into the creative process, I wasn’t sure which was more fun for me: working on the stories, nursery rhymes, and fables or talking insurance in the Moral of the Story, leading readers through the intricacies of policies, claims, and coverage. It was a delightful journey of blending the familiar with the educational.

Thank you for being a part of this adventure. I look forward to sharing more insights and stories with you as we continue our journey through the world of Once Upon A Claim.
